IT - Oracle Application Specialist

Oracle Application Specialist is responsible for implementing, supporting, optimizing, and maintaining Oracle enterprise applications, including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Oracle ERP, HCM, SCM, Finance, and related modules. The role works closely with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, configure solutions, troubleshoot issues, manage integrations, and ensure application performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support & Administration

• Provide day-to-day support for Oracle applications and business users.
• Monitor system performance, application availability, and transaction processing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues within agreed SLAs.
• Perform application configurations and parameter setup according to business requirements.
• Manage user access, roles, security profiles, and permissions.

Business Process Analysis

• Collaborate with business departments to understand operational requirements.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for system enhancement.
• Translate business requirements into Oracle application solutions.
• Recommend best practices and process improvements leveraging Oracle capabilities.

Implementation & Enhancement

• Participate in Oracle application implementation, upgrade, and migration projects.
• Support change requests, system enhancements, and new module deployments.
• Configure Oracle modules related to Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Manufacturing, or Projects.
• Conduct functional testing, UAT support, and deployment activities.

Integration & Data Management

• Support integration between Oracle applications and third-party systems.
• Coordinate with technical teams on interfaces, APIs, middleware, and reporting solutions.
• Assist in data migration, data validation, and data cleansing activities.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.

Reporting & Documentation

• Develop and maintain operational reports and dashboards.
• Create functional specifications, process flows, SOPs, and user guides.
• Maintain system documentation and knowledge repositories.
• Generate periodic application health and performance reports.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with Oracle support and external vendors for issue resolution.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions.
• Provide end-user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Participate in project meetings and application roadmap planning.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor‘s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience supporting Oracle applications.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), Oracle Fusion Cloud, or Oracle ERP solutions.
• Hands-on experience in application configuration, testing, and support.
• Experience working with enterprise business processes.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Oracle ERP, Financials, SCM, Procurement, HCM, or related modules.
• Understanding of Oracle database fundamentals and SQL queries.
• Familiarity with Oracle workflows, reports, interfaces, and APIs.
• Experience with system integrations and data migration activities.
• Understanding of ITIL-based support processes.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Application certifications.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications.
• Knowledge of Oracle BI Publisher, OTBI, or Oracle Analytics.
• Experience in ERP implementation projects.
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and middleware technologies.
• Experience in manufacturing, logistics, retail, finance, or service industries.
