JOB DESCRIPTION

[li]Participate in the New Business Acceptance/ Review Committees to manage the risk of new client take-on process.[/li][li]Assist in running the Local Risk Control Committee meeting.[/li][li]Provide technical support and research on all HSS operational and control issues.[/li][li]Establish and implement control monitoring program to ensure that all staff are fully aware of the importance and consequences of operational risks.[/li][li]Drive comprehensive analyses and balanced judgment in the fulfilment of audit requirements, coordinate various internal and external control audits or reviews and ensure the timely implementation of audit recommendations.[/li][li]Conduct regular risk and control reviews, new business, and new products risk assessments.[/li][li]Devise and undertake ad-hoc projects for risk assessment and mitigation.[/li][li]Promote risk awareness culture across HSS and forge best practices.[/li][li]Work closely with management across HSS to ensure that management action plans following audits/ reviews are properly implemented.[/li][li]Provide Operational Risk advice to local business units on FIM interpretations and internal control matters.[/li][li]Work closely with HSS Regional Chief Control Office to exchange information, understand international trends, forge standards of best practices and help implement all HSS policies and standards.[/li][li]Work with the team to ensure quality deliverables and services across HSS.[/li][li]Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationships with other teams across businesses and functions.[/li][li]Work closely with Compliance/ Legal departments to manage regulatory, compliance, conduct, financial crime and legal risks.[/li][li]Implement operational risk management policies and controls in relevant business areas.[/li][li]Assist the business to remain compliant with operational risk management requirements set out in the Group Standards Manual, HSS FIM, Operation FIM and Operational Risk Management Framework.[/li][/ul]
JOB REQUIREMENT
[ul]
[li]With 4+ years’ experience in compliance, audit or operational risk in financial industry[/li][li]Degree holder, preferably in Finance/ Banking[/li][li]Strategic thinker with strong analytical and project management skills to enhance procedures and controls[/li][li]Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to negotiate and work effectively with senior business and stakeholders across business divisions and geographies[/li][li]Strong problem solving and prioritization skills and be able to perform multi-tasking under pressure[/li][li]Proactive and self motivated with ability to think and act independently[/li][/ul]
