Job Description
- To ensure the periodical review of other functions’ balance of withholding tax and remind where appropriate.
- To provide periodical reconciliation, analysis for the tax charges.
- To support VP Tax Compliance and Tax Compliance Manager in circulating internal tax broadcast and if necessary, conducting internal tax orientations and training sessions when required.
- To coordinate the implementation of existing tax regulations/procedures.
- To support VP Tax compliance and Tax Compliance Manager to provide day-to-day compliance work and support to the business on local operational tax issues.
- To support VP Tax Compliance and Tax Compliance Manager in providing tax updates/digests to ALCO / ASP Tax.
- Help to build up and maintain a good team spirit.
- For transactional and operational taxes, preparing and reviewing the tax returns, testing of controls over operational/transactional taxes, coordinating the implementation of practical measures and solutions to improve compliance and efficiency consistent with Group policy and overseeing compliance.
Job Requirement
- For internal HSBC staff only.
- Bachelor degree holder.
- ACCA qualification will be preferred.
- Good accounting background, good knowledge for all banking businesses (e.g. Global Market products, Card business, etc.)
- Strong analytical skill, highly service-minded, strong interpersonal skill, reliable personality, and negotiation skill.
