Responsible for implementing distribution strategy, the team drives the delivery of market leading retail customer experiences.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of BRCM & Regulatory Compliance Officer, RBWM

• Assist Head of BRCM in building appropriate operational controls based on risk assessments to ensure that the Group’s Operational Risk Management Framework is met and fully adhered to.
• Implement Risks and Control Framework including control monitoring plans, key indicators and effective control reporting to minimize operational risk in RBWM business and form adequate control in the ‘First Line of Defence’.
• Roll out Risk Assessment Process: Risk and Control Assessment/Internal Control Monitoring Plan scoping, refresh Regulatory Compliance Assessments, risk appetite statements.
• Deliver control testing, share best operational practice through BRCM activities, thematic reviews, liaison with RBWM teams and other functional areas.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years competent experience in identification, assessment, monitoring and control of operational risk within a business
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, related field or equivalent experience
• Good understanding of operational risk and controls, compliance and legal issues, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles
• Good knowledge of the Group and the RBWM business, including products & services
• Proven problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions
• Good communication and influencing skills
• Ability to handle multi-tasks within a team environment
• Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders
• Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment
