We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Vice President Foreign Exchange Trader, Global Markets.
• To be responsible for HSBC’s FX trading business.
• To collaborate with other teams to maintain HSBC’s top position in the local FX market.
• To ensure all internal and external policies/guidelines are fully complied.
• To manage the market risks arisen from FX and Rates trading activities.
• To take discretionary risk and any possible movements in FX, rates.
• To maintain HSBC’s leading position in the FX and bond markets by maintain the professional dealing standards and continuously studying the markets.
•To build up and expand our customer base by coordinating with sales in terms of pricing and client coverage.
• To coordinate closely and improve relationship with regulators to keep updated with changing regulations.
• To strengthen our relationship with customers by providing them with market updates, pricing and liquidity on our best effort basis.
• To strengthen our relationship with interbank counterparties, continuously exchanging information with them and quickly updating.
• External & Internal Clients: networks, develops and nurtures client relationships, anticipates and identifies their needs.
• Internal Collaboration: Develops close and effective working relationships within respective Regions/ Countries/Functions /Global Businesses.
• Suggest ideas and contribute to implementing actions that will improve customer service, quality or the way teams and individuals work together.
• Adhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working, exceptional and project activities, and raise any concerns about actual or potential issues promptly, in line with reporting and escalation procedures.
• Apply policies, procedures, practices and standards to their allocated tasks, taking responsibility for their own actions, to ensure the achievement of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Support achievement of the HSBC vision, Values, goals and culture in personal behaviour, actions and decision making.
• Take personal responsibility for understanding and agreeing performance expectations, completing the necessary mandatory training and developing the levels of capability and competence needed to be effective in the role.
• Contribute to team development, effectiveness and success by sharing knowledge and good practice, working collaboratively with others to create a productive, diverse and supportive working environment.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Five years experience++ in Global Banking and Markets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Vietnamese), 3rd language will be preferred.
• Excellent relationship management skills with experience of interacting with senior management of customers (CEO's, Regional Treasury).
• Proven track record of managing customers.
• Customer service and team skills promoting an environment of co-operation and trust, overcoming resistance where encountered.
• An ability to get things done.
• Possess drive and resilience.
• Possess developed interpersonal skills.
• Possess planning, organisation and time management abilities.
