Bosch has been present in Vietnam since 1994. In April 2008, it set up the 100% foreign-owned subsidiary, Bosch Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Ho Chi Minh City, with branch offices in Hanoi, Da Nang, and a branch for manufacturing in Long Thanh, Dong Nai province (Gasoline Systems division). There’s also a software engineering centre (Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Vietnam Co., Ltd.) located in Ho Chi Minh City. In fiscal year 2012, Bosch in Vietnam generated USD 286.4 million (EUR 220.3 million) and employed more than 1,100 associates. Today, Bosch supplies a wide range of technological products and solutions including Automotive Aftermarket; Drive and Control Technology; Power Tools; Security Systems; Thermotechnology. Bosch also manufactures pushbelts for Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVT) of automobiles in Long Thanh, Dong Nai Province since August 2008.
